Narva-Ivangorod

Functioning of cross-border governance

Following the cooperation agreement signed in 2006, Narva and Ivangorod established a cross-border commission in order to work towards the formulation of a joint development strategy. This strategic document was approved in 2007, just before its official adoption by the two municipalities.

The cross-border commission is comprises a Steering committee composed of representatives of the two towns. It coordinates three working groups focused on the economy, cooperation between public organisations, and infrastructure development.
