The draft opinion of the European Committee of the Regions on the ECBM adopted unanimously

The draft opinion of the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) on the European Cross-Border Mechanism 2.0 (rapporteur Magali Altounian) was unanimously adopted by the COTER Commission on June 23rd, 2023, with a view to final adoption in October 2023.
It underlines the CoR's support for the project and also puts forward suggestions for revision, such as giving Member States the freedom to choose whether to apply the ECBM or a national tool on a case-by-case basis.
