European elections in 2024: the MOT wants to make cross-border issues count

On July 5th, 2023, at the invitation of the Secretary of State for Europe, Laurence BOONE, the MOT took part in a discussion for European associations and think tanks aimed at preparing for the European elections from June 6th to 9th 2024.

Organised in the form of a round-table discussion, the aim of the meeting was to discuss three points: the results of the 2019-2024 term; tools to encourage the participation of French citizens, particularly young people, in this major event in European democracy; and ways to prevent the spread of misinformation about the EU in the run-up to the elections.
The MOT took the opportunity to announce its full commitment to the mobilisation of citizens and civil society in border areas, by announcing its plan to organise, in conjunction with the local sections of the European Movement France, a series of debates with a strong cross-border dimension, both in terms of the audience and the composition of the panels, in order to bring issues specific to the "everyday Europe" of border areas into the European election campaign.
The MOT invites any member of its network interested in this initiative to contact its team.
