The event is a cooperation of the expertise centre ITEM (Maastricht University) & the Secretariat-General of the Benelux Union.
The event focuses on the principle of Horizontal Integration for cross-border regions. That is how cross-border regions in the framework of European Integration can achieve a horizontal function, where territories are better integrated across borders in a horizontal way. To do so, the workshop will discuss border obstacles: how to prevent (block 1) and cure (block 2) them.
