Greater Geneva: a cross-border territorial vision for 2050

Launched nearly two years ago, the process has given a voice to all the territory’s stakeholders – institutions, businesses and civil society – to respond to the different growth scenarios for its cross-border living area.
Its aim is to build the territory of tomorrow by ensuring consistency in the location of future housing, jobs, public facilities and the construction of mobility infrastructures , all in a carbon neutral perspective.
The main pillars of the Territorial Vision are ecological transition (thanks to the “Greater Geneva in Transition” Charter), supporting sustainable mobility, controlling urbanization, preserving natural resources, and establishing new cooperative ventures to combat social inequalities and labor shortages.
