European Consumer Centre (ECC)
The ECC France based in Kehl is part of the European Consumer Centre Network (ECC-Net), which is made up of 29 centres (one in each EU country plus Iceland and Norway). Its aim is to give French and German consumers the same confidence when they are shopping within Europe as they do at home.
The EU-wide network of European Consumer Centres (ECC-Net) offers free consumer help and advice:
- travel advice and a buyers' guide for European consumers shopping for goods and services in other EU countries, Norway or Iceland
- free expert help in settling consumers' complaints against an EU-based foreign trader.
A convention partnership was signed between MOT and the ECC in December 2010.
