An inspiring project to collectively imagine the Mediterranean Alps

The "PITER ALPIMED" is a cross-border cooperation strategy funded under the Interreg Alcotra program that ran between 2018 and 2022 in the mountain area between the provinces of Cuneo, Imperia and the Alpes-Maritimes department.

It brought together thirty partners with complementary skills organized around the themes of innovation, climate change, tourism and sustainable mobility.

The project has just published its 2018-2023 report: it demonstrates the joint work, the value of the diversity of the players involved, the cross-border added value and the resilience of the collective which, supported by the Alcotra program bodies, has been able to reinvent itself to meet the needs of companies and residents in the living area.
The document takes stock of more than four years of cooperation, which have seen the implementation of concrete, operational solutions for the benefit of all local players, whether citizens, businesses or visitors. Organized into four unique themes, it presents the emblematic, and for the most part enduring, actions of the "PITER ALPIMED".
To make the report easier to read and illustrate this selection of actions, an interactive device has been inserted into the document, giving access to enriched content such as videos and documents to dive into the heart of each solution.
