MIE-E: three projects on French borders

On January 25th, 2024, the European Commission announced that it had granted €594 million to eight cross-border energy infrastructure projects. Of these, three are in France, and two are on the Franco-Belgian border.

The European Interconnection Mechanism (EIM) 2021-2027 aims "to build, develop, modernise and complete trans-European networks in the transport, energy and digital sectors and to facilitate cross-border cooperation in the field of renewable energy, [...] by facilitating synergies between the transport, energy and digital sectors".
