Implementing the Quirinal Treaty: a meeting in Imperia
November 2022On October 24th 2022 in Imperia (Italy), a meeting entitled "The Quirinal Treaty, a signature that unites France and Italy: what opportunities for our territories?" was organised by the DITER research programme of the Université Côte d'Azur.
Hosted by the Province of Imperia, this political meeting was an opportunity for the many local elected representatives of the Riviera to express their expectations for a concrete and territorialized implementation of the roadmap provided for by the Quirinal Treaty and in particular its Article 10 dedicated to cross-border cooperation.
In the presence of the French and Italian ambassadors for cross-border cooperation, the MOT presented its project entitled "Experimentation with cross-border living areas". This initiative, co-constructed with the members of its network and which will soon identify several pilot sites on the French borders, is intended to bring about the emergence of specific public policies for these living areas, with a view to territorial differentiation and the simplification of cross-border life for the inhabitants.
