Public consultations on Serious Cross-Border Theats to Health

The European Committee of the Regions is currently working on a legislative opinion analysing the impact of two legislative proposals of the European Commission on EU's regions and cross-border links :
• Regulation on serious cross-border threats to health and repealing Decision No 1082/2013/EU COM/2020/727 final), and
• Regulation (EC) No 851/2004 establishing a European Centre for disease prevention and control) COM/2020/726 final
The aim of the opinion is to provide the regional and local perspective on both proposals to the European Commission, the Council and the Parliament, with the ambition to contribute constructively to the legislative process by delivering information on lessons learned by EU's local and regional authorities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A public consultation is open for feedback until 12 February 2021.
