14th edition of the cross-border workers fair

The 2017 edition of the cross-border workers fair, organised by the European Cross-Border Grouping in Annemasse, attracted nearly 2000 visitors.
This high attendance, which was a record since the fair's first edition, can be explained by the variety of exhibitors that came to provide information to Franco-Swiss cross-border workers – who face sometimes complicated administrative situations – as well as by the topicality of cross-border issues. Discussions focused notably on the implementation of the "Léman Express" project, the cross-border rail service under construction that will link Geneva to Annemasse by 2019. Healthcare questions were also at the heart of discussions, for example the right to choose with respect to health insurance.
