Urssaf has published its “Statistical Compendium”: who are the cross-border workers in Switzerland?

There were approximately 234,000 French cross-border workers recorded in 2024, an increase of 4.5% in one year, representing the majority of the approximately 405,000 cross-border workers employed in Switzerland. They are mainly concentrated in the border departments of Haute-Savoie, Doubs and Haut-Rhin, and work primarily in industry, services and healthcare. These figures confirm the continuing momentum of cross-border work between France and Switzerland.
