Régiolis trains are entering service between the Grand Est region and Germany

The Grand Est Region has introduced the new Régiolis TFA trains on the Strasbourg–Offenburg route, marking a new milestone for cross-border travel with Germany. As the first Franco-German rail line in the Grand Est region to be equipped with these trains, it demonstrates a commitment to improving daily travel between the two countries. With greater capacity and improved comfort, these trains meet the growing needs of residents, workers and students who commute across the border on a daily basis. Ordered by the Region in 2019 at a cost of €388 million, the 30 Régiolis TFA trains will be gradually deployed on other Franco-German cross-border rail routes.
