Maritime borders: Dunkirk looks to the English coast

In a multi-disciplinary approach, the day brought together port authorities, art and design schools, municipal archives and local attraction agencies, offering complementary approaches and visions of cooperation across the Strait.
On this occasion, the MOT proposed a “retrospective of foresight” to take us back to the early 2000s, when in-depth work was carried out to promote labor market integration and stimulate cross-border mobility on both sides of this part of the sea separating Kent from the coasts of Northern France.
The workshop, led by the MOT, developed ideas for action in the fields of ecological transition, cultural and linguistic cooperation, and economic development.
The next steps in the process will be to broaden this reflection, firstly by involving local elected representatives and, secondly, English partners.
