Cross-border cooperation awareness kit: a tool for elected representatives and stakeholders in border regions

The MOT has produced an awareness-raising kit on cross-border cooperation (in French), aimed at elected representatives and stakeholders in border regions. It is designed to be a practical tool to help better understand the issues at stake and encourage the involvement of local stakeholders in cross-border initiatives.

What is this kit for?

The kit is designed to be a clear and accessible resource for:
• Understanding the challenges and opportunities of cross-border cooperation
• Identifying the main tools available to stakeholders;
• Drawing inspiration from examples and testimonials from the regions.
It therefore serves as a tool to support awareness-raising and capacity-building among local stakeholders.

Who is it for?

This kit is intended for elected representatives in border regions, as well as for all stakeholders involved in cross-border cooperation, whether within local authorities, government departments or relevant organisations.

It is intended for wide distribution to help local stakeholders gain a better understanding of cross-border issues.

A strategic challenge for border regions

Cross-border cooperation is a key driver of development for border regions. The strategic importance of cross-border catchment areas makes it essential to support their development and momentum.
This kit is designed as a tool for dissemination and awareness-raising at a local level. It aims to encourage the commitment of elected representatives and relevant stakeholders and to support them in their involvement in cross-border initiatives.

4 short videos and an online feature

The kit is based on four themed video clips. It is complemented by an online section bringing together all the key resources for further study, available in French.
