Alcotraité 2 Transport: TransAlpi, the new hub for Franco-Italian mobility, is now live!
The Franco-Italian Cross-Border Cooperation Committee, which met on 4 June at Forte dei Bard (Aosta Valley), placed cross-border mobility at the heart of its discussions. It therefore provided an opportunity to take stock of the Alcotraité 2 Transports project, which supports these links between the two countries.
Alcotraité 2 Transports is an Interreg ALCOTRA project which aims to identify barriers to cross-border mobility and to implement practical solutions to facilitate travel between the two countries.
Among its first projects is TransAlpi, the new mobility hub linking France and Italy. This platform brings together all the information needed to travel between the two countries. Its aim is to simplify access to this data, which was previously scattered and rarely translated into the neighbouring country’s language.
On 29 May, around thirty citizens and stakeholders involved in cross-border cooperation and mobility came together to take part in the webinar launching the website. The event provided an opportunity to showcase this bilingual tool and to discuss future developments in Franco-Italian mobility, as well as possible changes to the website.
