A JRC’s report on cross-border flows and areas within the EU

The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) has published "Living spaces, flows and structures across the EU’s internal borders", a new report arising from the ACROSS workshop held in Ispra (Italy) in May 2025. This publication analyses cross-border flows within the European Union, as well as the challenges posed by the lack of data needed to better understand mobility and define cross-border functional areas. The MOT contributed to this publication with a chapter written by Jean Rubio entitled ‘Cross-border movements – the case of France and its hidden issues’.
