Summary

The Regional Natural Park "Caps et Marais d'Opale” and “Kent Downs” Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) are two protected natural areas situated on either side of the Anglo-French border. Originating from the same geological entity, the two sites share very similar habitat types, as well as many common challenges, particularly in terms of landscape protection.

This geographical and geological proximity has enabled the implementation of many cooperation activities, despite different working procedures, in order to jointly respond to the environmental issues and challenges that face them.
