TriSolutionsEU: a new support fund in the Upper Rhine region to remove cross-border barriers
March 2026
On 3 March 2026, the Monitoring Committee for the Interreg Upper Rhine programme approved eight new projects. Among them, a ‘TriSolutionsEU’ fund will support small cross-border projects aimed at identifying and reducing legal or administrative cross-border barriers in the Upper Rhine region. Led by the Regierungspräsidium Karlsruhe, alongside eight partners, its objective is to ‘promote smoother cross-border cooperation between public services to simplify procedures and improve the quality of life for citizens in the region’. The scheme will support projects lasting between 6 and 24 months with budgets ranging from €6,000 to €100,000. Total funding from the Interreg Rhine programme amounts to over €900,000 over three years.
