The MOT raises awareness among diplomatic advisors on cross-border issues

On 9 October 2026, the MOT participated in the second day of the annual seminar for diplomatic advisors to regional prefects, held at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs in Paris.
On this occasion, Jean Peyrony, Director General of the MOT, spoke alongside Joël Meyer, Ambassador for Intergovernmental Commissions, Cooperation, and Border Issues, and Valérie Lapenne of the ANCT. This session highlighted the importance of dialogue between state actors and those in border regions, and provided an opportunity to discuss the implementation of the Bridge-FR initiative along France’s borders. It is part of an effort to raise awareness among diplomatic advisors regarding the specific characteristics and challenges of cross-border regions.
