The future of Interreg programmes post-2027

Following its "Post 27" working group, which brought together around 40 members of its network, the MOT has drawn up a position paper based on experiences and perspectives from various French border regions. The aim is to identify priorities for future Interreg programmes after 2027 and to put forward concrete proposals.
Context
In the broader context of the evolution of tools for multi-level cross-border governance (bilateral treaties, upcom-ing adoption of the BridgeforEU regulation, etc.) and observation (European platform ACROSS, etc.), as well as the negotiation of the next multiannual financial framework of the European Union and the future cohesion policy, this position statement aims to identify the priorities for the future of Interreg programmes post-2027 and to present concrete proposals. This collaborative effort was developed with around forty members of the Mission Opérationnelle Transfrontalière (MOT) network representing a variety of French borders
