The conference will examine the experiences of citizens, residents, migrants, travellers and commuters when crossing, attempting to cross or living at the border. It will analyse the instruments, institutions, organisations and processes that have been established to facilitate or prohibit coexistence and movement. The conference will also provide an opportunity to look at cities, territories and regions as both spatial forms and sites where conflicts are formed and expressed.
Please note that Jean Peyrony will be speaking at the plenary session on 6 October: “Theme 2: Obstacle resolution, hybridisation, and tinkering”
