A look back at the conference “Beyond Borders: Culture, Language and Identity”

On October 21 and 22, the conference “Beyond Borders: Culture, Language, and Identity in European Integration” was held in Girona, organized by TEIN and the University of Girona. These two days of rich exchanges brought together nearly thirty presentations by experts and researchers from various disciplines, addressing a wide range of borders, from France and Germany to Hungary and Austria.

The discussions covered numerous cross-border themes: legal aspects, interculturality, identities, languages, education, and more. The MOT presented its work within the framework of the Anthedon initiative and the report “A Vision of Hope,” published last June, highlighting the role of a culture of cross-border connectivity as a lever for lasting peace. This approach, which integrates different dimensions of integration, contributes to shaping a vision for the future of Gaza and its integration into a region more connected with Israel and neighboring countries.
