A look back at the first National Conference on Border Cooperation: France adopts a new governance structure to support the implementation of the European regulation BRIDGEforEU

With the support of its national partners, the MOT organized the first National Conference on Cross-Border Cooperation, held on December 4, 2025, in Paris, at the headquarters of the Association of Mayors of France (AMF). The conference provided an opportunity to assess the current state of affairs at France's borders, including a roundtable discussion with the MOT's thematic vice-presidents, to discuss existing European and bilateral tools, and to present the new mechanism envisaged by the French government within the framework of the implementation of the European regulation BRIDGEforEU.
