Observ’Alp: the project enters its final phase!

On 5 and 6 June, Observ'Alp partners met in Genoa for the final Steering Committee meeting of the project, which will continue until January 2026. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the progress made and the next steps in the project. Data collection is now complete. During the meeting, the first versions of the dashboard were unveiled, illustrating the progress made in terms of data accessibility.

The project’s first public brochure, a portrait of the Franco-Italian-Monegasque territory enriched with maps and infographics, has also been presented and is now available on the project website. This work was carried out by the MOT, in collaboration with the Azuréenne Urban Planning Agency, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and the Metropolitan City of Turin for data collection.

Two further brochures will follow, entitled ‘A more sustainable and resilient territory’ and ‘A more innovative, competitive and inclusive territory’, before a final brochure summarising the overall results of the project. Click here to download the brochure.

During the Collective Intelligence Committee (CIC) meeting on 6 June, discussions with INSEE, ISTAT and IMSEE, among others, fuelled reflection on a possible follow-up to the project. Feedback from Observ’Alp could inspire other similar European initiatives, encouraging synergies between cross-border observation projects.
