New MOT map of Schengen cross-border regions 2025!

Following the publication of the official list provided for in Article 42b of the Schengen Borders Code in the Official Journal of the European Union, the MOT is publishing a new map of cross-border regions on France's borders.

It should be remembered that border regions, which account for 40% of European territory, are the first to be affected by the reintroduction of border controls. It is essential for them to preserve the Schengen area and freedom of movement. The Schengen Borders Code, recently revised by the European Commission, clarifies the rules applicable to cross-border regions and the measures to be implemented in the event of internal border controls.
