The Alpine Festival 2025
The second edition of the Alpine Festival was held on 30 and 31 August 2025 at the Mont-Cenis Pass, celebrating the historic friendship between the people of Savoy, Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta. This popular Franco-Italian festival aims to preserve and strengthen cross-border cooperation, which was given a boost by the signing of the Quirinal Treaty in November 2021. This year, it highlighted the shared ambition of the Department of Savoie, the Autonomous Region of Valle d’Aosta and the Piedmont Region to sign a framework agreement on cross-border cooperation in 2025. This agreement will enable the implementation of the Alcotra ‘A-Mont’ project – supported by the MOT – which aims to develop a shared diagnosis between the territories, identify local priorities and define a cross-border strategy to address common issues encountered in mountain areas.
