The LIM-EX project aims to reduce the legal and administrative barriers that hinder the smooth development of cooperation between France and Belgium and the daily lives of citizens, stakeholders and institutions in their cross-border activities.

As a pilot model for overcoming obstacles, the project aims to establish an essential reference framework for removing cross-border barriers between France and Belgium, including the development of a typology of obstacles, followed by solutions to be implemented, while mobilising the competent authorities.

This project is fully in line with the objectives of the BRIDGEforEU Regulation, adopted by the European Parliament and the Council. This new instrument not only provides for a standard procedure for identifying cross-border obstacles, but above all a structured procedure via the ‘cross-border facilitation’ tool to enable their resolution.
