CALLS FOR PROPOSALS MANAGED BY THE MOT

Cross-Border Energy Communities (CBEC) [2025-2027]

For two and a half years, the Cross-Border Energy Communities project, coordinated by the MOT and the AEBR, will support the development of Energy Communities involving actors and resources located on both sides of an EU border. The project supports the implementation of seven pilot communities selected through a call for projects/proposals. More info 

Resilient Borders - Pilot actions for cross-border spatial planning and crisis management [2024-2025]

For two years, the Resilient Borders project, coordinated by the MOT and the AEBR, has supported the implementation of spatial planning and crisis management plans in the European cross-border territories of nineteen pilot actions. More info

 

 

PROJECTS INVOLVING THE MOT

Alcotraité 2 Transport - Strengthening cross-border mobility between France and Italy [2025-2028]

Officially launched on 19 November 2025 in Lyon, as a continuation of the Alcotraité project, Alcotraité 2 Transport aims to strengthen the governance of the ALCOTRA cross-border cooperation area in the field of transport in order to achieve concrete progress for those who cross the French-Italian border frequently or occasionally. LIM-EX - Resolving obstacles to Franco-Belgian cooperation [2025-2029]

The LIM-EX project aims to reduce the legal and administrative obstacles that hinder the smooth development of cooperation between France and Belgium and the daily lives of citizens, stakeholders and institutions in their cross-border activities. It aims to establish a reference framework for removing cross-border barriers on this border, in line with the objectives of the new BRIDGEforEU regulation. More info

PRISMA - Information and observation development project for a SaarMoselle agglomeration project [2024-2026]

The aim of the project is to launch the development of a SaarMoselle cross-border agglomeration project, as set out in the Eurodistrict’s 2027 territorial strategy. More info

Alcotraité - Overcoming the main administrative obstacles in the ALCOTRA area [2023-2025]

Launched in October 2023 and funded by the Interreg ALCOTRA programme, this project brought together the five regions of the Franco-Italian cooperation area and the MOT. Its objective was to identify the main obstacles to cooperation on the Franco-Italian border, within the framework of the Quirinal Treaty. More info

Observ'Alp - Alpine cross-border observation system [2023-2025]

Launched in September 2023, the Observ’Alp project, funded under the Interreg ALCOTRA programme, aimed to set up the first system for observation, sharing of territorial data and digital services between border territories, particularly between France, Italy and the Principality of Monaco.   • LATI: Territorial Intelligence Research Laboratory [April 2025 – March 2028]
