The Scandinavian Game Developers project (SCD) offers advice and training to young entrepreneurs in the Scandinavian digital gaming industry and helps them establish viable companies in a highly competitive business environment. The business incubator in Grenå (Denmark) uses a business model developed by the Swedish partner-university of Skövde, and has seen the creation of 22 new small companies, currently employing 67 persons.
The project won the SMART GROWTH award in October 2015. The European Commission honors with this award projects unleashing SME growth potential for a digital economy.

Project goals

The overall aim of the SCD project is to ensure that entrepreneurs in the Scandinavian game industry can establish viable companies and survive in a highly competitive business environment by developing and testing business models, incubators with business coaches, a Scandinavian competences database, and a Scandinavian network.
