The MOT supports the end of roaming charges in Europe

On 3 April 2014, the European Parliament adopted the proposed regulation on ending roaming charges for mobile phones in Europe.

The draft legislation still needs to be adopted by the European Council. Roaming is an artificial market and constitutes a major barrier both to mobility and economic development. In border regions in particular, it seriously hampers businesses’ competitiveness and runs counter to the rights of citizens.*
