The MOT at the Strasbourg-Ortenau Eurodistrict Council

Following a presentation of the support provided by the MOT to the Eurodistrict, which has been a member of the network since 2013, the Councillors, meeting in Strasbourg's Pavillon Joséphine, were able to question the MOT on the prospects for joint collaboration for the second half of the year.

Beyond the organization of the "European Mobility Expo", which will take place from October 1st to 3rd, 2024, and whose session "Which public transport model to facilitate cross-border mobility?" will be dedicated to cross-border issues, the Council insisted on the advocacy role that the association enables it to play. The Borders Forum, to be held on December 2nd and 3rd, 2024, will be an opportunity for the region's elected representatives to question national and European authorities on concrete issues, such as the limited scope of the "experimentation clauses" introduced by the Treaty of Aachen.

This presentation to the Eurodistrict Council was coupled with the quarterly MOT meeting in Strasbourg, attended by the Strasbourg Eurometropolis , the European Territorial Authority of Alsace and the Grand Est Region, which hosted this partnership meeting.
