Border Studies, a joint study program between four universities of the Greater Region

The Master in Border Studies is a two-year joint international study program, which addresses the complex economic, political, social and cultural issues of borders and of border regions in Europe and beyond. The Master provides students with the major concepts and analytical tools to understand the various challenges of border regions and cross-border cooperations.

Students may specialise in a spatial or in a language/culture track. Courses are taught in German, French and English and are located in three countries at four partner universities: University of Luxembourg (Luxembourg), University of Lorraine (France), Saarland University (Germany) and University of Kaiserslautern (Germany). Take a look at what our students say about the Master in Border Studies in our new film.
The program is limited to 20 students. Students apply at one of the partner universities. The application period will be closed on April 26 for non-EU students and on June 1 for EU students.
